Freshman runner set to break out in sophomore season

In his spare time, Lloyd likes to hang out with friends and take trips. He is hoping to make an even bigger impact on the track. Lloyd is currently majoring in childhood education with a concentration in history, where he hopes to become a history teacher.
During the offseason, Lloyd likes to play basketball, but is currently running outdoor
track.
Lloyd had similar success during the indoor track season. His high point during that season was during the NE-10 Championships where he finished in second place in the mile with a time of 4:23. The following week he anchored the distance medley relay with a time of 4:20, which was a school record for the race.
With the outdoor track season in progress, Lloyd is looking to strike big for the team and repeat the success he had in cross country. His college goal, however, is to win the NE-10Championships and go to the National Championships.
"He'll become a national qualifier for track and possibly for cross country," said Cullen. "As an intangible, I think he will improve our recruiting and we will be able to attract more incoming freshman."
There is no doubt that Lloyd will be a major contributor to the cross country and track teams over the next few years. He will be a leader both in and out of running.
"The sky's the limit with him and he still hasn't had a year of running, so I think he will blossom as a runner," said Rickert. "I think he is going to be awesome on the track and
