"There were some lively discussions on Blackboard. There wasn't an overwhelming support of it, but the majority of postings were in favor of it. Forty-eight percent were in favor and 17 percent were undecided," said Ellis.

There is currently an active discussion board on blackboard where students can voice their opinions as to whether or not the idea will be beneficial to students and faculty. In order to view this page, click on the community tab and then click on campus technology which is located in the institution discussion board window.

After John Ellis concluded his presentation at the Student Association meeting, the floor was opened to students to ask questions or state any concerns that they may have. The first concern that was brought up was the question of whether or not we will still be able to search other student and faculty e-mail addresses. Due to the fact that students find this very useful, Ellis said that they are currently working on that now and are also working on moving the Saint Rose address book over to the new Gmail accounts. As of right now, a few issues are still being worked out but hopefully the switch will take place by June 30, 2009.
