The incident took place on the south side of the Campus Activities Center in front of a crowd of students and onlookers.
Saint Rose student Joe Coleman was a witness to the theft.
"It all happened so quick," Coleman said. "They just came over with bolt cutters and nobody said a thing."
According to Coleman the bicycle was taken by two adolescent males approximately 16 or 17 years old. They were carrying yellow-handled bolt cutting equipment. The two males initially attempted to cut through the cable but were unsuccessful. After looking around to see if anybody was watching, they cut the cable again and then left with the bike without being stopped by any of the onlookers.
It is unknown at this time if the incident has been reported to Saint Rose campus security. Check back for updates on this developing story.
