Last year's Club of the Year is set to kick off a new semester with thier first event on Thursday, October 9th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Campus Green. The event, along with a focus on educating cyclists about biking and safety, will also include fun activities for students at The College of Saint Rose.
May Caroline Chan is currently in her fourth year as an English Professor at The College of Saint Rose. She enjoys teaching at the College and also enjoys having students who find reading as interesting and enjoyable as she does. Chan describes teaching English and reading various genres of writing as a way of, "entering into another world".
From the beginning of the semester, there have been rumors of new computer security measures being implemented by the Saint Rose ITS department, but the nature of these newest security features has been unclear. This new Network Access Control (NAC) system is slowly and quietly being introduced.
Over forty years ago The College of Saint Rose began a community outreach program known as the GAP program. GAP stood for Growth and Progress, and in a way that describes the very mission of this program. This was an annual program started by Sister Noel Marie Cronin which was held for six weeks in the summer to help underprivileged youths (ages 13 to 16) from the city of Albany to have a safe outlet that was both fun and educational.
