Art literally covered the walls of the Events and Athletic center on Saturday, April 19th. It also was hung from the ceiling, and laid on the ground. Senior art majors of all concentrations showed their work off at the Senior Art Show. The gallery has been open from the Saturday's evening reception and will remain open until Wednesday, tonight, with most of the sculpture pieces in the Atrium and the rest of the gallery in the Standish Dining room upstairs.
As students at The College of Saint Rose are scrambling in these final weeks before summer to finish up final projects, papers, and portfolios, the students in Daniel Nester's Oral Interpretation of Literature class had a different kind of presentation at the Social Justice Center on Central Avenue in Albany.
On April 19, the English Club at The College of Saint Rose hosted its first 'Short Short Film Festival.' The movies were viewed in Saint Joseph's Auditorium beginning at 8:00 p.m. Although the crowd may have been on the small side, the night was, nevertheless, eventful.
New York and Albany have rich Native American history tied into the overall history of the state and city. The Office of Multi-Cultural affairs reminded students and staff of that history with a celebration of Native American culture last Tuesday afternoon in the Main Lounge.
Spectrum ended the school year with a two-day weekend celebration. On Friday, people were ppolside enjoying music, drinks and get their nails done. On Sunday, the club had nice Carribbean dinner in St, Joesph's Auditoruim with steel pan band, senior awards and dancing.
